Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) – Jobactive

The QAF is a new quality assurance framework that the Department of Employment has introduced from 1 July 2015.  This framework combines the Government’s and QA requirements for service quality. All Employment Providers will be required to gain certification under the QAF by 5:00 pm, Canberra Time, 1 July 2016 and maintain it throughout the term of the Employment Services Deed (ESD). QAF certification requires Employment Providers to submit an Audit Report within nine months of the commencement of the ESD on 1 July 2015.

  • Quality Principles developed by the department against which an Employment Provider must provide evidence, to demonstrate the delivery of quality services to job seekers, employers and the department; and

  • Certification against one of the department approved Quality Standards, ISO 9001, the National Standards for Disability Services or the Employment Services Industry Standard.

The department has developed the following Quality Principles as a basis for measuring quality and improving services delivered to job seekers, employers and the department. Employment Providers must demonstrate adherence to each of the Quality Principles as part of their QAF certification.
