ISO 27001:2022 Transition
The last version of ISO/IEC 27001 was released in 2013. The new version, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, was introduced to help companies navigate contemporary challenges and ensure that current security controls are in place.
Key Notes:
- GCC can no longer issue certificates for the 2013 version of ISO 27001
- From October 2024, all audits will need to include the upgrade component for clients still certified against ISO 27001:2013
- All ISO 27001 certification will need to be upgraded to the 2022 version of the standard by October 2025
